Clod Ensemble in association with Holborn Community Association is introducing extravagant acts for mature people. It’s a free art event for over 55s and it’s on the 1st Monday of the month.
On Monday 13th May at 1.30 to 3pm, Clod Ensemble will be presenting an afternoon of beautiful Brazilian music and song with Caratinga. Caratinga are four superb musicians from Brazil and the UK bringing traditional Brazilian music to a new audience across the UK.
As well as classic songs, Caratinga also offer a rare chance to hear instrumental music from Brazil’s century-old choro tradition. Choro is one of Brazil’s best loved, most beautiful and enduring forms of music, a tradition born in Rio de Janeiro and other cities over a century ago and remaining a vibrant part of Brazilian musical life to this day.
Come and bask in the sun drenched rhythms of Brazil with Caratinga at the Millman Street Resource Centre. Full Wheelchair access available for all performances and guide dogs are welcome. For further information call Sue on 0207 405 2493.
