Over the past six weeks some of our members have been making Viking Longships with the help of Zoe from the Mary Ward Centre. These were put on display in the main Hall at the British Museum along with work from other local community projects and our members went to view them all on Sunday.
“I was thrilled” said Rhoda,” I felt very proud of myself”. They described it as a “colourful, interesting display” and all agreed they would like to go and see it again. Unfortunately they won’t be able to as it is coming down today in time for the opening of the full Vikings exhibition. They were however given a preview of the new exhibition which they found “very interesting”.
