Rain Stops Play: Field Trip to Calthorpe Project

Yesterday (7th June), Millman Street Community Centre members were due to attend a field trip to the nearby Calthorpe Project community garden.  Part of Alice’s ongoing Birdwatching workshops (Tuesdays between 1:30pm and 3:30pm), the trip was planned as an opportunity for our members to identify, study and photograph various garden birds.

Shocker: Thunderstorm blights HCA field trip

However, nature decided otherwise, as a thunderstorm intervened, turning into a torrential downpour.  Undaunted, our members enjoyed tea and a good old chat instead.  Hopefully, the weather will hold off the next time that Alice arranges a field trip to the Calthorpe Project.

Cakes, possibly enjoyed by HCA members. In lieu of no dicky bird photos due to storm
