#Yoga at Millman Street Community Centre

Relax, it’s only Seated Yoga…

Yesterday (12th June), Millman Street Community Centre was once again the venue for Shirley’s Seated Yoga class.  The classes mix mild exercise with good-for-the-soul relaxation to produce a chilled-out vibe, alleviating the sometimes stressy 21st Century zeitgeist.

Andrew took some photos this week (reproduced throughout), and volunteer Pat revealed that Shirley utilises relaxing music to accompany her sessions.  While he doesn’t have the actual track-listing, this reporter wonders if these ambient-type tunes might contribute to an apt soundtrack:

Little Fluffy Clouds – The Orb

Always Returning – Brian Eno

X-Tal – Aphex Twin

Teardrop – Massive Attack

Moments In Love – Art of Noise

Electronic Counterpoint – Steve Reich

And, erm, Complete Disorder – Disorder [surely some mistake? – HCA Overlords]

Ahem.  Mellow fare, indeed.  Shirley hosts her Seated Yoga classes every Tuesday between 1:30pm and 2:30pm, and they are open to all HCA members, and local residents aged 55 and over.

Holborn Community Association would like to thank Shirley for providing her Seated Yoga classes at Millman Street Centre.
