Ho, ho and, erm, indeed, ho! The festive season will soon be upon us. A number of splendiferous events are scheduled to take place at Millman Street Community Centre.
Kicking off next Monday (4th December), the Centre will host the Millman Street Singers’ Festive Show, with a lot of help and encouragement from our friend Stac, whose Music and Singing workshops have been running at the Centre each Tuesday. Next Monday’s event will take place between 11am and 12 noon, and, as the poster says, you are invited.
Details of the set list are confidential for the time being, although this reporter’s spies tell him that the whisper on the street is that our members will be singing Christmas-type songs, possibly even Christmas Carols. If so, will they be warbling the one about demanding “figgy pudding” and a “cup of good cheer”, and refusing to go until they get some? Unconfirmed at time of writing – you’ll just have to wait and see on Monday…
Stac is a member of the Sugar Sisters, who performed at the Centre for our members last Christmas. Holborn Community Association would like to thank Stac for providing her Music and Singing workshops for our members, and looks forward to the show on Monday.
